MicrObey HUD 201205.1 Released

I've just released version 201205.1 of MicrObey and the corresponding MicrObey Owner HUD. So what's new? Mostly RLV related stuff, but there is some under the hood work on making things work with the upcoming MacrObey system, as well. The two things of immediate interest:

1. Force Sit - Make a subject sit on any nearby object (assuming they have RLV enabled)

2. Force Teleport - There's a new "Teleport Hub" in the MicrObey and MicrObey Owner HUD packages. You can use these to force teleport subjects wherever, so long as they have RLV enabled.

Enjoy, you fine, outstanding, beautiful people!

MicrObey 200927.1 Released

So just to say I was at a quick stopping off point and not get too far ahead of myself, I've released the MicrObey HUD version 200927.1 ... So what's new?

- Gallery theme & spiral updates pre-caches images now. You've got nice new previous, next, and pause buttons. So you can peruse things that you like instead of waiting for the next image automatically. The cache gets updated every so often. You're welcome.

- The training session theme has been updated much like the gallery stuff. When in training, you can navigate the theme images for the session. Find one you like? Pause it!

- Poses are now a thing in MicrObey. This isn't anywhere near what I want it to be, but it's there to begin evaluating. Let me know what you think. All web-ified and stuff. There's also a new ":pose <pose>" command for training scripts.

- There's some new glasses included with the bundle that let's the world see subliminals, devotions, trainings, training themes, gallery themes and spirals. Thanks to Jan for the idea.

- Lots of other minor things that I stumbled across or was on my list that you may or may not even notice.

So what's next? I have me some ideas. ;) I'd like to proceed with in-world controls (freeze, follow, things like that). I'd also like to better define the internal API for potential integrations. There's a new notecard for collaborations, and I'd really like to pursue those prospects.

Questions? As always, hit me up either here in the comments or in-world.

Your friend indeed,
Imperium

PS - A huge shout out to Kelli for helping uncover issues for me that prompted an evening of rethinking. And to Jan for he idea of the glasses. You guys rule.

MicrObey 200329.1 Released

So the weekend warrior thing was all about RLV, really, but some foundation laid for upcoming work.

For RLV to work, you obviously need a viewer that has RLV, have RLV turned on, and have RLV enabled for MicrObey. That's a lot, really, but worth it. MicrObey is really centered around RLV, and a lot of the experiences use it. Here's my opportunity to shamelessly plug Firestorm Viewer, which makes RLV pretty easy.

MicrObey has two notions of RLV. "In Session", and "Normal". In session is, of course, RLV restrictions that are applied when you're in trance. Normal is when you're not. Some of these restrictions may run counter to other restrictions imposed elsewhere in the MicrObey ecosystem. I recommend experimentation.

The big thing here is that RLV is completely opt-in at this level. Go. Enjoy it. 😀

So a quick guide. Wearing the HUD, touch the HUD bar to get the main menu:

Click on Setup to get the Setup Menu:

OK cool. You've got two buttons there for RLV. Namely, RLV and Session RLV. Each one of those will take you to the web to set up your RLV for each state:

And

Pretty cool. There's some nerd things going on here, as well, that I won't get into. But I'll say I had a blast with Properties and Attributes in C#. 😀

Some other cool things is easy access to the portal stuff. See the Portal button above? If you click on that you should get this menu:

This lets you go to the portal, set your password if you're interested in accessing the portal when not in-world (actually, this is useful for those with the Owner HUD, but a nice thing for subjects, as well), see overall statistics, see your recent training sessions, see where you've been recently, see how your zen is going, and a button just to get here on my purty (as in purty ugly) blog.

There's also been some enhancements to the Portal itself. I won't get into those. Blah!

So what's next? I plan on enhancing:

- Broadcasts
- Speech
- Subliminals

Right now these require the subject be logged in to use. I'm gonna fix that to act like RLV and Photo Galery. Owners will soon be able to setup these things while you're offline as a nice surprise for when you log in. Also, I'd like to be able to select multiple broadcasts and subliminals. We'll see how I feel about that when I do it.

Also look soon for an "I'm not scared I'm open to anyone" option. This currently exists in the MicrObey setup, but it'll be extended to cover your entire account. Because you're not scared.

There's more (there always is), but I'm tired of trying to be reasonably coherent in expressing myself. Just play around. Contact me with ideas, questions, bug reports. You'd be doing me a great favor.

Your bestest buddy,
Imperium
